PROGRAMME LECTEUR ----------------- Map pour Half-Life SURVIVE! (Single player map for Half-Life) AUTHOR: Bart Godefroid When I finished Half-Life, I decided to make my own level. I think that it worked out allright. It's compiled with Worldcraft 2.0 on a Pentium 166, 64 Mb RAM. The level runs very smoothly on this configuration (3D-card: Voodoo2 12 Mb). INSTALLATION: 1) Unzip "Survive!.zip" to a temporary directory. 2) Copy the *.bsp files to your Half-Life "maps" directory, e.g.: c:\games\sierra\half-life\valve\maps 3) Copy Survive.wad to your "valve" directory, e.g.: c:\games\sierra\half-life\valve 4) Copy the 3 *.bat files to your "Half-Life" directory, e.g.: c:\games\sierra\half-life 5) Depending on the degree of difficulty you want to play with, choose: - Survive!_skill1 - Survive!_skill2 - Survive?_skill3 ***If you want to start the game with the console, begin with the map "2targets"!*** (Personally I think that "Survive?_skill3" is the most fun to play.) BUGS: 1) If you get stuck when a new part of the map is loaded you have to duck and walk forward. 2) When you have climbed through the pipe and opened the lid, you have to duck to fit through the opening. THANKS TO: Some of the stuff in my map came from the Internet, so here are the authors: - Brian J. Audette AKA Lord Dakushna (the scandoor) - Clem Samuel AKA Mardegun (the target range) - JediCow5 (the APC truck) - Jose Garcia AKA Mrpops (the rocket turret) - Revolver (the Vault door) - Dark-Lord (the pillbox) COPYRIGHT: *You can copy "Survive!" for any non-commercial release as long as you include me in your text file and give me proper credit. *If you want the *.rmf files, e-mail me and tell me what you want to do with it. *E-mail: Bart.Godefroid@rug.ac.be.
